Working Diagnosis: Posterior sternoclavicular joint dislocation Treatment: Patient was taken to surgery by Orthopedics the next morning for open vs. closed reduction of the right posterior sternoclavicular joint dislocation. Relocation was successful after two attempts. Patient was sent home in a figure of eight clavicle brace/sling. Outcome: A CT scan was done one week post-surgery, which showed interval reduction of the dislocation. Patient was seen in Orthopedics follow-up at two weeks. He still had mild swelling and tenderness to palpation over the right SC joint. His brace was discontinued and he was instructed to begin gentle range of motion exercises. Seven weeks post-surgery the patient had pain-free range of motion and was cleared to begin slow functional return to play. References: Bicos, et al.
