Lab Studies: Labs: Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP), complete blood count (CBC), complete metabolic panel (CMP), parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels were unremarkable. Joint Fluid Aspiration: Fluid sent for analysis and showed calcium pyrophosphate deposition (CPPD) crystals with negative culture. Other Studies: An ultrasound examination of the right knee know showed a large joint effusion. No effusion in the left knee Case Photo #1 . Right knee x-ray revealed mild degenerative changes, non-specific edema within Hoffa's fat pad, and possible tiny intra-articular bodies adjacent to the tibial spine Case Photo #2 . MRI of the right knee showed complex medial and lateral meniscus tear, effusion with reactive synovitis, and Grade IV chondromalacia. Intact previous ACL reconstruction Case Photo #3 .
