No laboratory studies were indicated.

Other Studies:
The patient's prior right knee and ankle X-rays demonstrated a 2 mm area of increased density at the caudal margin of the lateral malleolus consistent with age-indeterminate osseous avulsion injury. Lumbar spine MRI demonstrated right L4-5 paracentral disc extrusion posteriorly displacing the descending L5 nerve root, facet joint arthropathy, mild central canal stenosis, and mild bilateral neural foramen stenosis Case Photo #1 . Electromyogram demonstrated a subacute right L5 lumbar radiculopathy with ongoing denervation Case Photo #2 .

She was also referred to an interventional spine clinic.
