A scout X-ray prior to CT scan showed smooth zones of increased sclerosis in the long axis of multiple bones of the leg Case Photo #1 . The CT of the right femur without contrast showed multiple areas of confluent sclerosis, highlighted by "flowing" periosteal cortical thickening of the femur and proximal tibia, representing a "dripping candle wax" appearance Case Photo #2 . Otherwise, the hip and knee joint alignments were preserved without underlying fractures or aggressive lesions.
