Lateral left hip ultrasound, 12 MHz linear probe, short and long axis views:
- Loss of normal fibrillar architecture of the distal gluteus minimus tendon
Bilateral hip radiographs, anteroposterior and lateral Case Photo #1 :
- Large fibro-osseus lesion in the right femoral neck
- Heterotopic bone formation in both thighs
- Heterotopic bone formation around the left greater trochanter and/or old avulsion fracture
Left hip magnetic resonance imaging:
- Multiple ossific densities in the gluteus medius muscle
- Mild gluteus maximus tendinopathy
