Lab Studies:
Lab studies ordered during the patient's second Emergency Room presentation:
Normal BMP, negative HIV testing, urine gonorrhea and chlamydia. The patient's CBC was normal including neutrophils of 75 percent and lymphocytes of 15.8 percent.
Other Studies:
On initial presentation to the emergency department non contrast head and neck computed tomography (CT) were obtained due to the severity of the patient's symptoms and neck pain. His imaging was found to be unremarkable. Case Photo #4 On presentation to the Infectious Disease clinic at 7 weeks post injury, the patient underwent a MRI to rule out neurological sequelae from his concussion and infection which was also normal.
