Chest x-ray Case Photo #1 Case Photo #2 revealed blunting of the left costophrenic angle suggesting minimal atelectasis versus early infiltrate of the left lung base with the small adjacent pleural effusion. No bony abnormalities.
EKG: normal
CT angiography: Case Photo #3 Case Photo #4 Pulmonary emboli noted within the segmental and interlobar arteries to the left lower lobe. Consolidated change of the left lung base and the pleural effusions noted. The consolidation could be ischemic change from the pulmonary emboli or superimposed pneumonia.
