Lab Studies:
White blood cell count was normal (8.8 x10^3 uL),
CRP was 10 mg/L, and ESR was 13 mm/hr.
Lyme Antibody was positive.
Lyme antibody IgM Western Blot was negative, and Lyme antibody IgG Western Blot was positive.

Other Studies:
Radiographs of the knees showed no osseous abnormalities.
MRI demonstrated a large effusion of the right knee, a popliteal cyst with surrounding soft tissue edema, suggestive of cyst rupture. Edema was noted within popliteus muscle and in the deep posterior calf soft tissues. There was no evidence of acute ligament, tendon, or meniscal tears.

Consultations:
Rheumatology and infectious disease were consulted for treatment recommendations.
