Other Studies:
Due to the change/worsening on his ECG, a follow-up cardiac MRI (9/2010) was obtained: ventricle wall measurements (end diastole): Base 0.9-1.6 cm (prior 0.9-1.2 cm), mid-cavity 0.8-2.0 cm (prior 0.9-1.2 cm), apex: 0.8-1.2 cm (prior 0.3-0.9 cm), and two areas of delayed sub-endocardial enhancement in the mid-apical septum (1.3 cm) and inferior apical region (1.0 cm). There was increased end-diastolic LV myocardial thickening of the basal anterior septum (1.6 cm) and mid-inferior septum (2.0 cm) with increased LV myocardial mass that was concerning for asymmetric hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
