Prior to being seen in sports medicine clinic, a left elbow 3-view x-ray was obtained. There was no evidence of osteoarthritis or acute fracture on this imaging. A left elbow MRI without IV contrast was obtained after the initial office visit in sports medicine clinic Case Photo #1 Case Photo #2 Case Photo #3 . The left elbow MRI without IV contrast revealed bone marrow edema at the proximal and medial aspect of the olecranon (arrows). No fractures were identified Case Photo #4 Case Photo #5 Case Photo #6 . This bone marrow edema reflected a stress reaction.
