Other Studies:
MRI of his left shoulder was obtained Case Photo #3 and showed a 1.5 cm lesion in proximal humeral epiphysis with additional extensive edema-like signal extending into the metaphysis. Pathology performed a core needle biopsy of the lesion that showed chondroblastoma. Tumor cells expressed s100 protein but there were no organisms on gram stain and very few WBC.
