Right ankle radiographs showed acute, mildly displaced oblique distal fibular shaft fracture Case Photo #1 , Case Photo #2 . Mortise intact Case Photo #3 .
CT ankle shows oblique fracture of the lateral malleolus with nonunion of the fracture fragments. Maximum width between the fracture fragments is 6mm. Mild bony callus is seen along the proximal fracture fragment but not of the distal fragment Case Photo #4 .
