The Painful Predicament Of Beefy Biceps - Page #3

Lab Studies:
Labs were notable for leukocytosis, elevated CRP, normal lactate, and negative blood cultures.

Other Studies:
Right upper extremity vascular ultrasound was negative for DVT but did reveal a large hyperechoic, avascular mass. MRI showed an 8.3 x 6.4 x 15.9 cm hyperintense collection of proteinaceous and fat material within the biceps with irregular borders, thickened, enhancing capsule, and septations. There was a moderately-sized T2 hyperintensity adjacent to small scattered fatty foci in the lateral deltoid muscle.
