Hematoma Aspiration: Aspiration of a possible hematoma localized to the distal aspect of the lateral compartment was attempted, but no blood was aspirated. The patient was then transferred to the Emergency Department to undergo compartment pressure testing as his pain was out of proportion with his exam and was worsening.

Compartment Pressure Testing: Lateral Compartment: 170 mm Hg (Elevated), Anterior Compartment: 50 mm Hg (Elevated). Findings were consistent with acute compartment syndrome.

Consultations:
Orthopaedic Surgery consultation for emergent operative intervention to perform fasciotomy.
